Baking with Julia
Leigh of Lemon Tartlet has chosen…
Gooey Chocolate Cakes on pages 261-262
Next week’s recipe selection will come from Mary of Starting from Scratch
ohhh…that sounds yummy! Can’t wait to make it!
I admit, I am really excited to get back to chocolate! Great choice!
Yay! I love these. I’ve been wanting to try Dorie’s recipe for them. Can’t wait!
I am so excited to try this! A molten chocolate cake has been on my “to try” list for awhile now.
YYYUUUUMMMMM!! Great Choice!
You can never have too much chocolate!! Sounds great!
One of my favorite desserts – I can’t wait to try Dorie’s version!
YEA!!! This sounds so good…and not too intimidating!!!
Thank you so much for choosing this! I must admit, I haven’t been terribly excited about the last two choices. I know… don’t think I’m a jerk! I’m excited about the chocolate!
I’m wondering if I’ll use semisweet instead of bittersweet….there are only 6 tablespoons of sugar…hhmmm….will pay attention to what you other ladies have to say…
I can’t wait to try this recipe!
I’ve never tried a molten chocolate cake so I’m excited for this one!
damn you LT. chocolate goes right to my hips, thighs, pooch etc. But T loves you right now. haha.
This is one I’ve been wanting to try so much! Very glad y’all are happy about it, and CB it all goes to my thighs and pooch. TWD is single handedly responsible for making me exercise as much as I do now.
Yay, back to chocolate! I am so happy now :)
I finally caved and ordered my book. I hope it gets here in time! Just the title for the recipe has me drooling!
oooh, sounds delish!
For me it sounds moist, dense and definitely underbaked, but I’ll give the recipe a try, I tried a related recipe
Yay for chocolate! I’m excited about this one!
:-) Can’t wait!
I used semi-sweet when I made it today. I thought it was just perfect. I’m not a big fan of bittersweet so I usually just sub semi and watch the sugar.
I gave the recipe a try, but it’s what I thought, dense moist and underbaked, no lava, not liquid…..
oh, this is about the only thing to make me wish i was not still on vacation! i will make and post when i am back!
Easy and delicious…I used Ghirardelli 60% bittersweet morsels because that’s what I had on hand. My unreliable oven overcooked them by a touch so I’ll try 12 minutes baking next time.
i’m pumped about this week too…I haven’t been able to participate the past TWO weeks!….I know what we are going to make next week….when do I tell you guys???? I let my best friend pic cause it just so happens to be her birthday…..
