Great choice! Simple and light. It’s perfect for me right now.
OMG. YAY!
I LOVED this one! I made it with my sister recently and it was delicious!
Nice and easy – phew!
Perfect! Yay!
With all this hot weather, a fresh fruit tart will be a welcome desert!
Great pick!!! I can’t wait to try this out!!
So glad this is the choice! I have 4 lbs of strawberries to use over the next few days! Yay!
ohh…i was just looking at this the other day!
Oh YES!! Just yesterday I was hoping we would make something tasty with strawberries during strawberry season. Plus, they’re my fav! Thanks for choosing it! :)
what a perfect choice for the beginning of strawberry season here in the northeast!!
Perfect timing! I just bought a couple pounds of strawberries!
mmm yum. Now in search for the perfect ripe strawberries!
Fresh strawberries are in season, I can’t get enough.
Awesome – I love strawberries!! :)
ooo boy– Now I have to go get a tart pan :)
I almost made this over the weekend because I have been drooling over the picture in the book. Great choice, Marie!
I really wish I was going to be around for this. It looks delicious.
Well that was quick and easy. Not often I can say that I did the TWD recipe the week BEFORE it was due to be posted!
Nice choice, one I had all the stuff on hand for, and am happy to have made.
I agree. It was really simple. I just finished making ours with strawberries and blackberries. I was so tempted to dig into it, but I told Carlo I would wait until tomorrow.
Excellent choice for this week!
Love this choice!
Random question…. I am super non-tech savvy. So, I need some help. Is there a way that I can go through the blog roll (cause I want to see everyones brownies!) and have the blogs open in a separate browser so that I don’t have to hit the back button to get back to this page? Is that like a setting I need to change on my browser or something to do that?
Thanks in advance!
Amy, try right clicking on the name in the blogroll and clicking on the “open in a new window/tab” option.
Ooooo perfect!! Thanks so much, rainbowbrown. I figured it was something easy and obvious like that!
FYI – You can find the already typed recipe plus some more thoughts from Dorie at Serious Eats

Yum, I just got my book and I am excited about the tart. The book is amazing.
I just realized that the tart pan i bought is 11 inches… how much should I increase the recipe by?
any ideas?
It has been pouring rain all day and night here in Seattle and summer weather seems impossible to imagine. I think this very summery strawberry tart might be just what we need to hold us over until the sun finally arrives.
Hi, I am new and have a quick question. I don’t have a food processor to use in making the tart…is it worth to invest in one or can I get by without it? Thanks!
sarah..you can definitely make this by hand.
I so wish I wasn’t travelling this week!!!! What a great summer dessert! I think I’m going to make it next week anyway :-)
If you have an 11 inch tart pan instead of 9, my math says you will need (11*11)/(9*9) the amount of dough, which is about 1 1/2 times as much.
Thanks Barbara!!
This looks so good, but I don’t think I can make it this week. I can’t wait to see how everyone else’s goes and maybe I’ll do double duty this weekend and make this recipe and whatever our next one will be.
