TWD Great American Bake Sale

Many of you Americans and fellow food lovers may have seen the Share Our Strength commercials featured on The Food Network. I have seen these commericals many times thinking, I should host a bake sale. Well, Babette, of Babette Feasts, emailed me asking if TWD would like to host a Great American Bake Sale. I quickly read all the information on it, and thought, SURE, we would love to!

Here is the skinny on Share Our Strength and The Great American Bake Sale:

Share Our Strength^® is a national organization working to make sure no kid in America grows up hungry. We weave together a net of community groups, activists and food programs to catch children at risk of hunger, and surround them with nutritious food where they live, learn and play. We work with the culinary industry to create engaging, pioneering programs like Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation^®, Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale^®, Share Our Strength’s A Tasteful Pursuit^®, Share Our Strength’s Great American Dine Out, and Share Our Strength’s Operation Frontline^®.

Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale is a national campaign that mobilizes Americans to end childhood hunger by holding bake sales in their communities. Since 2003, more than 1 million people have participated in Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale, raising nearly $4 million to make sure no child in America grows up hungry.
