Tricks for Treats

Seems we finally have a title!

This week I don’t have an ingredient, tool, or recipe.  Since it’s New Year’s Eve, I thought I’d make a resolution or two.  But these aren’t just any resolutions — these are kitchen or food resolutions.

1.  I will try to eat my leftovers before they rot and I have to throw them away.  (We are horrible at my house about eating leftovers.  I don’t know why.  90% of the time the food is enjoyed the first time around)

2.  I will identify all food that I package up and put in the freezer.  And then, we will actually eat it (See resolution #1)

3.  I will, once again, try to cook at least one recipe from each cookbook that I own. (I tried this last year and fell down on the job).

What about you?  Any resolutions?

3.Trying to cook more outside my comfort zone!

  3. 1. Eat only 1-2 sweets a day and only 1-2 servings of cheese a day (not a weight loss thing, just having some health problems).

    2. Eat more protein and fiber.

    3. Comment more frequently on foodblogs.
