I made Granola Grabbers and they were great! I’ve heard so many good things about them, so I was happy for the “excuse” of a rewind week to try them out.
Is a ‘rewind’ something we didn’t make or something we liked so much we want to make again?? Or does it matter. I’ve only been a TWD baker for a little over a year so there are plenty I missed. I do love the All in One Holiday Bundt!
I’m making the Chocolate Amaretti Torte – I have a note next to it stating, “Divine,” and the team at the office have been longing for chocolate for a while.
I’m going to make the fluted polenta and ricotta cake. I’m subbing dried cranberries for dried figs and orange zest for the lemon zest. I’ve been intrigued by this recipe for a long time and have been meaning to try it out!
I want to bake the Hidden Berry Cream Cheese Torte, but if I run short on time, it might be muffins or scones! But now I’m tempted by the sables and the polenta/ricotta cake. Yipes!! And I have another list for the Christmas week rewind…
I made mini Brown Sugar-Apple Cheesecakes. I made them in a muffin tin. I don’t love cooked apples in anything, but this might be the best cheesecake I have ever tasted. They were amazing. Plus, when you are only eating a muffin-sized piece, it doesn’t seem as decadent for some reason.
It was amazing!
I actually made 2/3 of the cheesecake filling recipe and the full crust recipe (I love crumb crusts) and got about 16-18 mini cheesecakes. Perfect for sharing.

Has anyone else that uses Blogger ever run into log in issues? Last week I couldn’t log onto my Google account. A screen came up stating that there had been some ‘unusual activity’ on the account. I had to give my cell phone number so they could send me a text message to verify that it was really me.
It really, really freaked my out because my entire blog had been removed for I don’t know how long. Is this just Googles way of making random security checks? I keep peeking online now every few hours, just to make sure my blog is still up. It would be nice to be able to sleep again. :)
Hi, Katrina
Yes, they did send me a text and I was able to log back onto my account. But now I’m paranoid about this happening again.
In the Google blogger forums, I read a few people that thought this was Googles way of making sure the users are human and not spammers. It makes sense but it still worries me.
Also my IP address changed suddenly about a week before this happened…I don’t know if that has anything to it?
Thanks for responding though. If I spend too much time looking at the Blogger forums, it only freaks me out even more. :)
I ended up making the Brioche Raisin Snails. Plus I’ll make sticky rolls for our guests later this week with the remaining dough.
I’m planning to make the Double-Crusted Blueberry Pie, I missed that one and have a ton of blueberries in the freezer. I think I’ll make a streusel topping instead of a double crust though.
I like having dessert options for Thanksgiving other than the usual pies (though those are great, too!)
I can’t decide.

Either, Cindy. You can either try a recipe that you missed or you can make a favorite again. Either way, share!

Brioche snails. :)
Doh! That was supposed to go below. I saw you were making the ameretti totre though. Loved that one! :)
I loved the chocolate amaretti torte! Good choice.
That’s one of the recipes I’ve made several times. It is divine, and so easy!

That’s a fabulous idea! I might have to copy you!
I’m going with the sables, which I’ve made before, but this time with cardamom.
World Peace Cookies are always a hit! Can I make those for Thanksgiving??
I was thinking of making those, too – everyone always is so happy when I make them!
I’m going all the way back to the cranberry shortcake…sorry, Mary. I think I’m in love with cranberries now. :)
:D
Cran-Apple Crisp for me! I have some cranberries leftover from this month that I thought I should use up! :)
oohh! I want to make that again too! so delicious and pretty simple too!

My Favorite Pecan Pie for me…might try something new for the Christmas Rewind. :-)

That sounds amazing, Mary Ann – how many muffin-sized cheesecakes did you get from the full recipe?

Thanks! Sorry for the random question.
Valerie–I have never heard of that happening. Have they sent you a text? Hope it’s all okay!
