I love to do a Fougasse (p.146 or 59) and Raspberry-Fig Crostata (p.374 or 338).
Still remember the taste of the yummy white loaves?
The WHOLE WHEAT LOAVES are even better – I love this one p. 83
and
Crème Brûléed Chocolate Bundt – p. 280 – 281
Anything that requires minimal oven/stove top use!! :) It’s too hot here to cook!!
Choux paste (pages 35-36) with the idea of following up with
Profiteroles (pages 411-413)
And, maybe, Johnnycake Cobbler (pages 389-390)
I second the choux paste nomination and then profiteroles. And any of the bread recipes…perhaps the whole wheat loaves or the baguettes.
The Hazelnut Biscotti (page 315) & Danish Braid (205) uses Danish pastry dough (page 50)
I second these nominations
Bagels (pages 87 – 90)
Cantuccini (pages 313 – 314)
Semolina bread (102-103)
Raspberry fig crostata (374-375)
Creme Bruleed Chocolate Bundt, page 280 and Hazelnut Biscotti, page 315
yeah…. go creme brûléed chocolate Bundt…go !
:-)
Ditto to both.
Something with Nectarines, such as Blueberry Nectarine (p 384) or Nectarine Upside-Down Chiffon Cake (p 241), or even the previously mentioned Johnnycake Cobblers (p 389)
Raspberry-Fig Crostata is a great recipe; I made it last year, but figs don’t come into season for another couple of months.
I’ll second the nomination for the nectarine upside down chiffon cake. it sounds amazing
Baked Yogurt Tart p.378
Cheese and tomato galette p.429
Nectarine Upside-Down Chiffon Cake (p 241)
Blueberry Nectarine Pie (p 384)
Blueberry Nectarine Pie, page 384
Savarin, page 416
something sweet and something savory-a bread and something fruity works for me
Berry galette or blueberry nectarine pie, while they are in season!
croissants, please!! :)
Nectarine Upside-Down Chiffon Cake (p 241)
Savarin, page 416
