Baking with Julia
Did you use fresh or frozen rhubarb? Baby cakes or one big one? Did you sub in another fruit? Do tell!
I found fresh rhubarb…and made 4 baby cakes AND one in a skillet. SO good!!!!
I halved the recipe and made it in an 8inch cake pan. Worked well and loved the cake! But my house is in total disarray with some renovations so I won’t be able to post it until tomorrow.
I made a big 10 inch square cake, and it’s so yummy!!
Erin’s link is not working–I know it did yesterday now when I hit her link I get Madelines?? Where or where is the recipe?
I fixed it this afternoon. I guess when i did an update the wordpress app decided to not publish it and just left it as a draft.
Does anyone know why I have such trouble leaving a comment on blogspot. It seems like it won’t accept my comments as a wordpress account.
I don’t know why it happens, but I have been able to get around this by leaving the comment as either Open ID or Name/URL. If that does not work, then try signing out of wordpress, leave the comment on the blogspot account as either Open ID or Name/URL. It will then ask you to sign into your wordpress account. These are work around options, but they allow me to leave comments. I hope that helps.

the rhubarb available to me was in lousy condition. the photo for the recipe showed the use of sage leaves. that had me thinking-what about edible flowers? i made half the recipe, placed a single borage blossom in each cup of a mini muffin pan and made bite sized baby cakes with borage blossoms and kewda water.
