So, what did you think? Is this a summer favorite? Is it a winter treat? Do tell!
I’m not sure about this one. The strong yeast flavor in a light cake was unusual.
Agreed. I thought I had messed this one up, and maybe I did, but I couldn’t get over the yeast flavor.
The hubby and son enjoyed this. I wasn’t a fan of the bread-like cake, but liked the concept of a ring cake filled with cream and berries. And it was quite beautiful!
I really liked the yeast taste with the sweet berries and cream. I am interested to see the variations people came up with for this one.
I did not notice a yeast taste; then again I did use a flavored syrup in place of the sugar water. I was not fond of the texture this cake had though. It was odd to me.
I really liked them. I have been baking just haven’t had time to post the last two. But they will be up soon :)
Mine collapsed and tasted like scrambled eggs. I didn’t have time to try again so unfortunately, I missed a Tuesday =(
