Baking with Julia
If you have thoughts and ideas for what we should bake up in September, leave them here!
I will post the schedule this weekend.
the weather’s changing.. how bout espresso profiteroles?? 411-413
No recipe ideas yet, but could we do another ‘choose your adventure’ month?? Loved that.
I have a friend that signed up and hasn’t heard back if she can join. Do you know how long that takes?
I dont see any requests, ask her to resend and I will reply ASAP.
Sweet Berry Fougasse pg 194 or Blueberry Muffins pg 208
Fruit and berries won’t be around much longer for this year. May be be the last month for summer fruits for 2013.
I agree with the espresso profiteroles (pg 411)
That sounds good to me, too.
Blueberry muffins-p 208
Country bread-p 136
I like the sweet berry fougasse pg 194 and the espresso profiteroles pg 411 too.
Cantuccini (page 313) or Tuiles (page 321)
and the lovely vanilla chiffon roll (p 277)
or anything else :-)
Blueberry muffins page 208
Danish Braid p. 205
Challah p. 70
(Though the tuiles would be fun!)
Wow, you guys are really throwing out some ideas! I like it.
Would you all like another choose your adventure week? We could start doing that every month if its something you all enjoy.
Adventure week was fun.
How about choosing the master recipe, and we can choose what option to make. I’m at work and don’t have my book with me to give an example. Hope you understand what I’m saying.
I loved adventure week. And I loved that some people did both!
can we still choose pain au chocolat? or was that counted as part of the croissant recipe?
We’d love to try either the Tropical Napoleons, p. 393, the French Apple Tart, p. 354, or the Baked Yoghurt Tart, p. 378. Any thoughts?
