The people have spoken! Here are our two recipes for December:
December 9 – The Rugelach That Won Over France on p. 301
December 23 – Gingerbread Buche de Noel on p. 86
December 30 – while the fifth Tuesday of the month is generally a Rewind (the opportunity to bake a missed recipe) we haven’t had a whole lot to miss. So bake your favorite or missed Dorie recipe from another book.
As with our Thanksgiving recipe, if you are baking the gingerbread for Christmas, please feel free to post at any time after the 23rd.
January 14, 2014- Country Bread, pages 136 and 137.
January, 28, 2014- Vanilla Chiffon Roll, pages 277-279.
Please include two choices – a savory and a sweet would be ideal. Also add the page numbers.
What do you think?
There are three Tuesdays in December. We’ll use the third as a rewind/catch up day.
December 3 – Challah p. 93
December 17 – Gingersnaps p. 324
December 31 – Rewind! And happy New Year!
If you have thoughts and ideas for what we should bake up in September, leave them here!
I will post the schedule this weekend.
August 6, 2013- Eastern Mediterranean Pizzas, page 156.
August 20, 2013- Johnny Cake Cobbler, page 389, OR Raspberry-Fig Crostata, page 374.
Kind of a choose your own adventure month. :)
Its scorching out there right now, if you live anywhere in the eastern US. I can’t even think about baking. However, August is right around the corner and we can hope that this heat wave will let up soon.
Let me know what you’d like to bake up.
We’re baking on July 2nd and 16th with a rewind on the 30th. Tarts seem to be the food of choice so here we go:
July 2 – Baked Yogurt Tart on page 378
July 16 – Summer Vegetable Tart on page 436
My cookbook is packed up, so I’ll be watching to see what everyone else does! If you’d like your photo on the LYL post, e-mail it to tuesdayswithdorie AT gmail dot com. Include your name and site.
June 4 – Savarin (pp 416-417)
June 18 – Cheese and Tomato Galette (p429)
Fingers crossed for ripe berries and tomatoes. Want to host? Please leave a comment with your first name and blog link.
And what would you like to bake in June? Nominate away! Please choose one savory and one sweet. And don’t forget page numbers!
