Sorry for the day delay. ::Covering ears for the oncoming booooos::
Please enjoy getting to know a little more about Amy from Family, Food and Fun.
When did you start baking?
I started when I was about 10, for a school project and I haven’t stopped yet.
Do you have a favorite baking memory?
Christmas day in the kitchen with my uncles. They are the cooks in the family.
Who is your TWD blog idol?
Dorie and of the many wonderful bloggers out there I have to say Shari of Whisk: A Food Blog. She never fails to teach me something.
What has been your favorite TWD recipe so far?
What recipe are you dying to make that no one has picked yet?
Creme brule. I tried it for the first time at a fancy restaurant, and can’t wait to try my hand at it. I just need to get the right tools first.
What 2 questions would you ask Dorie if you ever met her?
How do you stay so thin? and Who is your favorite person to cook with and why? (oops that was 2 in that last question.)
What one item in the kitchen best describes you and your personality?
My KitchenAid stand mixer, I’m steady and I’ll try anything.
What’s your favorite band or CD of all time?
Bon Jovi (I am dating myself)
If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would it be?
Italy, I am fascinated by all of the pictures, and the food!
Complete the statement “I recommend…” (it can be a show, movie, book, restaurant, website, activity, etc.)
The movie Waitress. A romantic comedy about baking.
If you knew could you try anything and not fail (and money was no object), what dream would you attempt?
Open a luncheonette and serve a different dessert every day.
What super-power would you most like to have, and why?
Super speed, that way I could get all of my chores done and have plenty of time for everything else. And hey, I would be really thin because working out would be really fast too!
What is the meal and dessert you would choose as your very last?
Crawfish etoufee, salad, bread, and baked alaska for dessert.
