Thanks for all you do. Thanks for being you.

Guest post from Beth:

Dear Laurie,

Thank you so very much for all that you do for us. Tuesdays with Dorie started as a small idea and it has grown into a hugely popular community that reaches across the globe, and we know that you work incredibly hard to keep our TWD world running smoothly. Thanks to you, many of us have gained kitchen confidence and sharpened our baking skills with challenges we never would have taken on a few months ago. Sure, we might have gained a few pounds from all the cookies, brownies and caramel covered cakes, but it’s all in the name of Dorie!

You give your time and attention to TWD and we are incredibly grateful. As a token of our appreciation, you have a special gift coming your way. We hope that you’ll use it to spoil yourself, just like you spoil us! Thank you from the bottom of our butter and sugar coated hearts.

  1. Thanks a million times over. I know that running TWD can be alot of “unpaid” and “unappreciated” work sometimes but I hope you know that we really do recognize all you do. I know you. I know you don’t take time for yourself but hopefully with our little gift you will. ;) Enjoy!
    xoxo, Clara
PS. And thanks to Beth for the incredibly sweet idea and organizing everything.

  2. Last week was my first week, and I was just blown away by what a great group this is…and of course, what a great host Laurie is. Thanks so much for running this show. I think the best part of TWD is not the cooking/baking (which is great, don’t get me wrong!), but really the meeting of new people all over the world. Really happy I joined. Thanks Laurie!

  3. Laurie, If I remember right there is a famous book where it is written and I believe it goes kind of like this….It is truly more blessed to give than to receive. Most of us out there haven’t a clue what a day in your life looks like, but surely the details of running, maintaining this group of “flour children” is way more than you bargained for in its inception. So, thank you for taking the step and running with it. Please, as Clara said, “SPOIL” yourself. Certainly it is well deserved because you have certainly given a huge amount of your personal resources to TWD.
    Many Thanks!

  4. I agree with everyone’s comments and so appreciate everything you do for TWD! It brightens my week and I love learning so many new things. Thanks for everything! :)

  5. Thank you Laurie, for organizing TWD! Even though I’ve only been a part of the group for just over a month, I’m already becoming a better baker because of you.

    You’re amazing!

  6. Thanks, Laurie…we couldn’t do it without YOU! I have limited myself to my favorite 30 blogs each week because it is just hugely time consuming to get around to everyone…I don’t know how you are doing this! Thanks for keeping us all on track and headed in the right direction…sugar, butter, flour, eggs, and okay you chocolate lovers: chocolate, have to be in the right direction, right??? Thanks for all you do!

  7. Thanks for everything that you do! We all SO appreciate all of your hard work! I have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people because of what you started! Hope you enjoy your spa day! You deserve it!

  8. Thank you Laurie and the Team for all you do for this wonderful group – to think I used to make cakes from cake mixes a few years ago and can now make brioche, kugelhopf, cheesecake and so on and on. So many new skills and so much enjoyment.

  9. I just got back from Mexico, so my “thanks comment” is a little late (sorry!). Laurie, thank you SO much for all you have done and continue to do everyday – joining this group has helped me to become so much better at baking and being in my kitchen! Thank you ,thank you, thank you!!!
