Loved these when I made them last year, loved them even more this time around. I even still had some homemade dulce de leche to use up and it was even more awesome.
I really liked these cookies, although after sitting in a container for a day they became a bit too soft and cakey for me. I prefer my cookies to have a little crunch. I could’ve eaten the Dulce de Leche spoonful by spoonful :-)
FABULOUS IDEA! Especially since I have decided not to do mine as a blog post any more, but as a separate page (since I’m not allowed to post the recipe).
These turned out rather sweet–could the extra 1/4 cup of sugar that I accidentally put in have anything to do with that?! I also erred on the side of making the cookies on the small side and ended up with a whole lot more than 30 sandwiches.
Loved making the dulce de leche in the crockpot. What a fabulous idea!
I can’t say I loved these cookies either because I didn’t get to taste them! I DID love making them though (so easy), and learning how to make dulce de leche. I’m looking forward to trying some of the other d.d.l. methods in the future.
Fantastic idea, CB, for LTL – this will make commenting, and especially hosting, a whole lot easier.
Love these cookies and love the LYL idea. Props to Jodie for an awesome recipe selection, to CB for this terrific idea, and to Julie for the easy homemade dulce de leche tips!
In the end, they worked out, but I didn’t sandwich them. Did anyone else have to add more flour?? I also made the chocolate raspberry tart from last week, which sadly, was a bit of a bomb. :(
Hopefully, this isn’t a double post, but my original posting didn’t seem to come up. Anyway, with a little tinkering, the final product was a thumbs up!
My solution for the DDL being rather sweet? Mix it with peanut butter!
Due to the fact that I was on vacation with my family last week, I was not able to make the Dulce de Leche Duos until today. They were DELISH! I love caramel and so I can’t think of anything better than Double caramel, except maybe adding a little chocolate…. :)
And a can’t wait to make the Coconut Tea Cakes tomorrow…
These were great cookies and they even survived being the freezer a week and traveling on an airplane so I could bring some back for my husband at my son’s request. :) I liked them better not sandwiched together actually, it makes for a better dulce de leche to cookie ratio.
I am finally getting around to posting these cookies…if anyone is still interested!
I absolutely loved the cookies too! The sandwiches – not so much though. Too sweet for me.

Nope, didn’t love them, but it was my own fault:) Did I post my link in the wrong spot earlier?
No worries Mary! It was probably my bad posting about it 2x. I just moved over links from the first post to here. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. :)
Sadly, this one was a miss for me, but at least we have extra dulce de leche to munch on!

P.S. LOVE the new LYL concept, CB!
I loved these cookies a little too much. I’m a sucker for dulce de leche though.
Loved these when I made them last year, loved them even more this time around. I even still had some homemade dulce de leche to use up and it was even more awesome.

I adored them. Every last bite. I would even just make the cookies and eat them without the filling!

I loved the cookies alone – too sweet w/the dulce de leche in the middle. The cookies themselves were buttery, caramely…yummy.

Everyone I gave them to loved them! I have some in the freezer for April 4th. (And love this idea!!)
The sandwiches were a little over the top, but I loved each element separately.

But, I loved then nevertheless!
