September shaped up to be a pretty tasty month, folks. What a great welcome to fall. :)
September 7, 2010– Jasmine of Jasmine Cuisine selected Peanut Butter Crisscrosses on page 78.
September 14, 2010– Sabrina of Superfluous chose Cranberry Upside-Downer on page 206.
September 21, 2010– Rhiani of Chocoholic Anonymous picked Coffee-Break Muffins on page 15.
September 28, 2010– Leslie of Lethally Delicious decided on Tarte Fine on page 315.
The peanut butter criss-crosses are the best peanut butter cookies I’ve ever made. This time, with Spanish peanuts!
Yay! Lots of great fall picks. =)
Oh Di, I’m so not ready for Fall to start…. The picks all sound delicious though!!
I’m quite ready for it here. Unfortunately, we won’t have fall weather here in Texas for a couple more months, probably. Fall baking is the closest I can get for now. =)
Oh how I know that non-Fall feeling, living in Texas myself. I look forward to Fall baking just to make some semblance of Fall in my life ;)
Thanks Rhiani! I was already planning to make the Coffee Break muffins this week! Great timing!
Oh my September will be a good month!! YUM!!!
Did anyone else get an email from Amazon about “Around My French Table” being sent the beginning of Sept (an estimate) instead of mid October?
Great picks everyone!
@Raelynn – yep! Arrival date in Australia is now early October instead of late November. Can’t wait!
GREAT choices! The peanut butter cookies are delicious. I have 6 bags of cranberries in the freezer and I’ve always wanted an excuse to make the cranberry upside downer! :-)
Wonderful selection! Thanks TWD’ers
a cookie, a muffin, a cake, and a tart- what perfect variety! I have been wanting to make the cranberry upside-downer since I bought the book! yay!
Great choices!
Great picks! I was actually flipping through the book two days ago and hoped someone would pick the PB crisscrosses and the coffee muffins! YAY!
I have made the peanut butter cookies several times, they are the best ever! The other recipes look yummy! Im looking fwd to some fall baking!
Those coffee break muffins are some of my favorite muffins ever. I add in a lot of spices & make it into a spiced coffee muffin usually.
will we be able to find cranberries next week? i guess i’ll see if they are sold frozen?
Good question. If I cannot get cranberries, I plan to make the summery peach upside-downer, or use frozen cherries?
I’m making the peach version, maybe even tonight. Can’t wait.
:D
In my experience, even frozen cranberries are difficult to find in September. A couple years ago I absolutely had to make something with them and went to at least four stores before I found frozen ones. Then, of course, they were everywhere a week later.
If you can’t find cranberries, do try the peach. I made it tonight and it was astonishingly good.
:)
I am SO excited for the cranberry upside-downer!!
I have been eyeing that cranberry upside downer for some time now. I’m so happy that it was chosen!!
Great picks for this month!!
