i tried to leave a comment but it wouldn’t work!
I tried too…can’t leave one…
I, too, am unable to leave a message. Glad you survived Irene. At least you had some delicious emergency rations.
Delicious! Made apple muffins!
My power is still out because of the Hurricane, so I probably won’t get around to making these until next week. Power is suppose to be back on by friday or saturday. We will see what happens.
I can’t imagine going with out power for that long..hang in there:)

Very tasty! I made mine with apples.
Delicious! I used a pear and some KAF dried fruit–fruitcake mix.http://cgharris.blogspot.com/2011/08/twd-cornmeal-and-fruit-loaf.html
Really want to try these with pears.
I left out the fruit and just added bacon – then topped slices with an egg. Perfect breakfast!
Nice with the crumbled bacon addition!
Thanks for baking with me!
