I’d love to try the WEDDING CAKE on p. 295 (ahahah only joking!)
I’d like to make Challah on page 93 or the Baking Powder Biscuits on page 211
or the Cantuccini on p 223
Jules and I made a pact that the wedding cake would be the very last recipe. :)
Now I can relax :-)
I’ve been worried about this one!
Just a small question: I haven’t seen the P&Q lately and I miss them soo much.
Do you plan to bring them back?
Many thanks
Since the holidaysnarebaround the corner:
Ginger snaps page 324
Amaretti page 320
I’d be up for baking one of the cookies mentioned above, cantuccini, ginger snaps, or amaretti.
Then maybe a cake…
Chocolate Mascarpone Cheesecake, p.256, or
Poppy Seed Torte, p.258
I would love the cantuccini, and the poppy seed torte sounds really good too!
or the chocolate mascarpone cheesecake…. everything sounds delicious!
Amaretti would be great! Gingersnaps would be so festive.
I like the suggestions of amaretti (320) and gingersnaps (324). :)
Amaretti – p. 320 – 321 or Pizzelle – p. 323
Swedish Oatmeal Hardtack – p. 162 -163
*I made the gingersnaps last year and it was a total failure… Tried to recycle them for a cheesecake crust and the results were still questionable. If you have a recipe that is similar to the IKEA’s gingersnaps (http://www.annasthins.ca/) – please share. I will be forever grateful :)

Is Ginger Snap the same as Speculaas?
Karen of “Bake my Day” shared on my blog her Speculaas recipe.
Please have a look at it.

I also like the amaretti (pg. 320) and gingersnaps (pg. 324) suggestions.
put me down for the amaretti(320) and gingersnaps(324), too-cookies might be all i have time for next month.
gingersnaps (324).
Baking powder biscuits 211
gingersnaps and cantucci.
I second what Ckay says above…can we have P&Q back please? for me, it’s what makes it feel like we really bake as a group. thx!
I vote for gingersnaps!
How about challah (p 93) or buttermilk scones (p 210) or vanilla pound cake (251)???
Amaretti and challah sound great.
I’m a frequent challah baker, so I’d definitely be up for that one, and scones sound delicious!
