  1. In the process of putting this together right now! As for pitting cherries, I did just what Dorie suggested – used a chopstick to push the pit through. Worked fairly successfully, although it seemed a little messy. But, what do I know? I’ve never pitted cherries before, so maybe it’s always messy!

  2. I used a chopstick and a bottle. I placed a cherry on top of an empty bottle, stem side down and quickly poked the pit through with the thicker end of a chopstick. I tried doing it the other way, poking the cherry stem side up, but that didn’t end well; I either shoved the entire cherry down the bottle, or cherry juice squirted EVERYWHERE! It looked like I murdered someone by the time I was done with my cherries!
