We are called TUESDAYS with Dorie for a reason…

We post on TUESDAY people.

More and more and more folks are posting on Monday. I realize we have international members. They are in the clear because they are posting when its Tuesday for THEM.  Most of our members are in the United States. Please, please, please stop posting early and post on TUESDAY! This is one of the only MAJOR rules we have kids. Stick to it.

Thanks. Bake on!

For Potential New Members

Here are our rules, as listed on The Rules page:

  • You must own the book, Baking: From My Home to Yours by Dorie Greenspan.
  • We always post on Tuesday. As long as you post when it is Tuesday for you, you are good to go.
  • Everyone must participate at least two out of four weeks. If you participate every week, fantastic! If you participate every other week, grand! This is not up for negotiation.*
  • You must have a blog to post your baking adventures on. This is the only real way for us to know that you are indeed baking along with us.
  • If you must miss more than 2 weeks of a particular month, please email us and let us know! We are keeping track, so if you do not tell us you are on vacation, sick or having a baby, we do not know. Please take 2 seconds to send us a line.

That’s it, 5 rules. This isn’t rocket science, its baking people. But, we have these rules to keep the Recipe Rotation fair. Any questions, comments or complaints can be sent directly to tuesdayswithdorie AT gmail.com.

If you are stull interested, comment here or email by midnight EST tonight. Then membership will once again close.

P&Q: Play nice kids

This past weeks P&Q irritated me. In fact, I stopped reading comments because many folks were not being… for lack of a better word.. nice. P&Q is a place to address problems and questions about the week’s chosen recipe. It is not a place to bash a recipe because you do not like how it turned out, or worse, just don’t like the choice in general.

Please keep your comments respectful. Its okay to say you didnt like something. But, leave it at that, please. I do not want to start moderating comments, but I will if I have to.

Play nice kids.

March Recipe Rotation

Could the following people please email me their selections for March? (or comment in this post.)

March 10- Bridget of The Way the Cookie Crumbles
March 17- Liliana of My Cookbook Addiction
March 24- Sihan of Befuddlement
March 31- Jayne of The Barefoot Kitchen Witch

Thanks! Bake on!

New Member Requests

I seem to get an influx of new member requests everyday. Its not hard to see why, we are fabulous. ;)

However, we are currently not accepting new members. TWD is a closed group right now. We may open up to new members later this year.  I will be sure to post several times if that happens. Until then..

Thanks. Bake on!

February 3, 2009- Jessica of cookbookhabit chose World Peace Cookies, page 138-139.

February 10, 2009- Shari of Whisk: a food blog chose Floating Islands, page 401-402.

Also, its been brought to my attention that members would like a forum to talk to one another other than the weekly P&Q. Well, it just so happens that we have one! We have our very own Google Group that is open to be used by any and all members. Please go check it out!
