Can it really be over 6 years and so many hundreds of recipes ago that I wrote to tell Laurie and all you wonderful bakers how excited I was that you were planning to work your way through Baking From My Home To Yours?
Well, guess what? As you start on Baking Chez Moi, I’m just as excited. You never fail to delight me and I can’t wait to see what you do with my recipes chez you.
Merci – lots – for being so enthusiastic and so game. As I collected and created these recipes, I was surprised many times and happy every time. I hope it will be the same for you.

Hi friends. We’re playing around with a fresh, new look for the blog. So don’t be surprised if you see a number of different versions of layout and photos. The Rules have also been updated to reflect the new book. Bake on!
Hopefully you’ve pre-ordered your book, and it will be delivered to you in plenty of time to start baking with us in November. Just in case, however, the first chosen recipe is one that you can find online. Remember, we post the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month (11/11 and 11/25 next month) You can always post after those dates as well. We’ll start using the nomination system once everyone has a book in November.

We’re scurrying around firming up details and plans. For now, here’s what you need to know to bake along: We’ll be baking two recipes per month. We’ll nominate/choose recipes the previous month (i.e. – nominate recipes in November that we’ll bake in December). We post on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. We ask that you do not post the recipe on your blog. There is NO sign-up and no minimums to be a member. Bake and post when you can. Dear Fans of Dorie,
We have some very exciting news to share with you! On October 28, Houghton Mifflin will release Dorie’s newest book, Baking Chez Moi. Starting November 11, we’ll be baking along! This is a wonderful new book filled with sweet treats for all occasions.
As in the past, twice a month we’ll be baking a recipe from the book. Recipes are nominated, the names and page numbers are posted, and on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, you’ll blog about what you’ve baked. We’ll continue to have a link post, a Tuesday Chatter post, and a Q & A post. There are no registrations, minimums, or rules. We only ask that you don’t post the recipe. We want to support Dorie and have as many people as possible purchase her book.

There are three Tuesdays in July. We’ll be posting on the 2nd and 16th and leave the 30th as a rewind. What would you like to bake next month? One savory and one sweet please! As always, page numbers are very helpful.
On a personal side note: My kitchen is being gutted on the 26th, and it won’t be completed until some time in September. (fingers crossed!) So while I haven’t been baking along much, now I won’t be able to. I’ll be jealously and vicariously baking through all of you! — Jules
