Baking with Julia
My brand new madeleine pans came yesterday. Pending any major interruptions or issues tomorrow, these are on the agenda. I am so excited!
Leave all your fluff filled links!
Mine will be up in a couple of hours. The advantages of being closer to the date line!
Live at 1:00 am CST
Mine will be late. Brody came down with the stomach flu Colby just got over. I will not make chocolate fluff filled cookies while he is feeling so bad. That would be torture. Hopefully I can make them tomorrow.
Taste-wise, these exceeded my expectations – delicious:
I will have a huge post up late. I have been traveling, taking care of my sick aunt and job hunting. But I have managed to bake, just not post.
Up at midnight…..hint: beautiful and ethereal….
Up later tonight. yu-u-um.
A bit messy to make, but worth it.
RIDDLE TIME!!! What’s filled with marshmallow fluff and covered in chocolate ganache? Me, after eating all the leftover ingredients.
I hope I got the pre-posting link right, it should be up at midnight PST. Thanks to everyone who baked along with me this week, I can’t wait to see how they turned out!
Okay, it did not work on the first try, sorry!
These really were yummy! I ended up caving on the extra filling and dipping time. I just frosted and toasted with the fluff. Totally worth making again (next time I’ll try the filled and chocolate dipped ones!)
Hey ..hey…Vanilla version over here!! So yummy!!
Next time I’d like to make these vanilla flavored with ganache inside and out!
No squiggles and a bit of a mess, but fun!
No fluff but still a winner!
More like a Hostess cupcake, but I liked these a lot. Thanks Margot!
Post is up…longest post ever, just look at the photos and if you are interested in what the heck happened, you can read the post…lol. http://grandmaskitchentable.typepad.com/grandmas_kitchen_table/2011/01/tuesdays-with-dorie-chocolate-fluff-filled-madeleines.html
Well, I got the important part made.
Ding-Dong shaped madelines over here!
Just finished them.
I’m not sure I filled them correctly, but they were good!
Made in cupcake form with a fluff topping instead of filling!
Made these today, and had so much fun! Thanks, Margo!
No madeleine pan, so I punted!
here are mine; too lazy for the fluff:
here they are in their glazeless glory! http://bakewithus.wordpress.com/2011/01/11/fluff-filled-chocolate-madelines-twd/
Not quite a one-sentence post, but short this week:
I filled mine with Nutella (very little Nutella).
just under the wire…
Better late than never.
I used a chopstick to put the fluff into the madeline.
